It’s a fact that can be proven by the amount of money spent on content, and the number of people who actively consume it. The question then becomes: How do we all make sure our content is engaging and compelling enough to keep them coming back for more?
I’ll tell you one way—start simplifying your social media marketing strategies! When most brands start out with their first social media accounts, it’s easy to get overwhelmed by all of the options available and end up posting frequently without thinking about what works best for their audience. But did you know that there are actually ways to streamline your posting schedule so you can focus on creating better content instead? In this post, we’ll go over some simple steps that will help cut down on unnecessary work so you can spend more time doing what matters most: connecting with customers through meaningful interactions and building brand loyalty through consistent engagement efforts.
Here’s how to simplify your social media marketing!
Stop Obsessing Over Posting Frequency.
The first step to simplify your social media marketing strategy is to look at your posting frequency. Posting frequency is probably the most important aspect of social media marketing. It’s easy to obsess over how often you should post, but that’s not necessarily a good thing. If you’re posting too much, it will annoy your followers and they’ll become frustrated and start unfollowing you. On the other hand, if you don’t post enough people may think that something is wrong with your account or business and look elsewhere for their information needs.
To determine whether or not your posting schedule is optimal, consider several factors:
- How many times do I need to post in a day? What about once a week? Once a month? Once every year?
- When should I publish those posts? Should they go out at the same time every day? Every week? Once per month or even longer after that point has passed
Choose Quality Over Quantity.
When you’re posting content to your Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts, it’s important that you don’t overdo it. Posting too much will result in followers getting tired of seeing the same thing multiple times and unfollowing you. The key is to find a balance between quantity and quality so that people want more from you. It’s also a great opportunity to step back and look at your strategy as a whole and identify ways you can simplify your social media marketing.
This means that if the same thing keeps getting posted on all your social media channels, then it’s time for a change. You need to find new material that’s unique and engaging enough for people to want it repeated over again. This is where research comes into play; if there isn’t enough original content available for whatever niche or subject matter (e.g., pets), then perhaps there aren’t enough followers who share this interest either? If this sounds like something worth exploring further through targeted advertising campaigns across different platforms such as Google Ads or Meta Business Suite (formerly known as Facebook Business Manager).

Analytics are the key to simplify your social media marketing. They’re one of the best ways to measure your efforts and make sure that you’re getting the most out of your time and money. You can use analytics to track:
- How many people are engaging with your content?
- What kind of content they’re most engaged with (e.g., text vs pictures).
- What posts got more likes or comments than others.
Write Compelling Copy.
This is probably the most difficult task to simplify your social media marketing. Write Compelling Copy!
The words you choose to use, the tone of voice you adopt and the format you use are all part of your brand’s personality. When writing copy for social media, it’s important to remember that people don’t like to read long blocks of text.
Instead, they want short bursts of information – they want bite-sized nuggets that they can digest quickly and easily. This means choosing short sentences (maybe just one or two per paragraph) with lots of white space around them so that users will be able to read your posts easily on any platform. It also means using bullet points and subheadings to break up these shorter paragraphs into smaller pieces if needed.
In addition to making sure there’s enough white space for readers’ eyes not to get lost in a sea of black words on their screens, it’s important not only what words you choose but how many times those words appear in each sentence too! For example: “It’s time for tacos” could become: “Taco Tuesday is upon us!” And this might then become: “Tacos? Yes please!” If nothing else though just think about how excited people would be when they saw something like this pop up on their phone screen while scrolling through Facebook at work…
Use Audience Targeting Options and Ads.
You can use audience targeting options to help you reach the right people with your social media campaigns. This can help you simplify your social media marketing. Audiences can be created based on existing user information, such as age or gender, and they’re used to show ads to a specific audience within Facebook or Instagram.
To add an audience, select “Audience” from the left navigation bar of your Ads Manager account. You can then create a new custom audience by entering basic demographic information such as age range, location and interests (you’ll need this info in order for it to show up on the platform). Once you’ve added all of the details for your new custom audience, click “Create Audience.”
You might also want to use ads instead of audiences if you want more control over where and when your ads appear. Ad scheduling allows you to choose which days and times are best for posting certain types of content; however, it won’t work well if there’s not much traffic during those times—and don’t forget about weekends!
Experiment with Content Types.

The only way people can relate to your brand is if they feel like they know the real person behind it. That goes for both businesses and individuals.
Take time each day to ask yourself: “Would I share this on my personal social media account?” If not, then don’t post it on your business account!

If you’re not getting the results you want from a post or video—or if it’s taking too much effort to produce it—try something new!
There are many ways to do this: look at other successful pages in your niche; ask followers what they’d like to see more of; try posting more often or less often; add links within text so people can click directly through; share content that isn’t directly related but still relevant (for example, an article about dogs might be shared just because there’s a picture of puppies).
Every few months I re-evaluate all of my social media accounts (and sometimes even my website) looking for ways I could improve them based on what has worked best in the past few weeks/months/years. This is all part of creating content that works best for my audience—and it helps me keep things interesting as well!
